HANИAHANИA

A TASTE OF JOY

We believe in the magic of nature. We built our Bee Site in the middle of the untouched hills of Refahiye, Erzincan surrounded by a variety of natural flowers and plants. A worker bee makes one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey during its lifetime. One bee must visit between 50 to 100 flowers in order to fill its honey hungry stomach during one outing. It takes 300 bees about three weeks, and the nectar from around 2 million flowers to gather 450gr of honey.  Our bees work so hard to bring this taste of joy to your table. Honey is truly the magical elixir of Mother Nature.

about

HANИAHANИA

In the Ancient Sumerian Civilization, HANNAHANNA stood for the Bee Goddess. HANNAHANNA was later used by Old Anatolian Civilizations to mean the Goddess of the Gods.  The word also came to represent Mother Nature herself. The word transformed in the Turkish Language to ANNEANNE (Grand Mother or the Mother of the Mother). For Turkish People, as is seen in many other civilizations, Family is sacred and women have an important place, which is likely why HANNAHANNA evolved to ANNEANNE in Turkish.

We couldn't think of any better name than HANNAHANNA to represent the hard work of our bees and their reigning BEE QUEEN.

This is how HANNAHANNA was born, and then prepared to be served on your tables.
